Scooter Outdoors was born from a love of fishing and a lifelong connection to the land. Founders Ashlyn Edwards and Camy Baldree grew up surrounded by Utah’s mountains and rivers, where adventure wasn’t an escape, it was a way of life.

 

Their paths crossed in Alaska, working at a remote self-guided fishing lodge. Side by side on the docks, helping anglers, they discovered not only a shared passion for fly fishing, but a shared vision. To create equipment that reflects the landscapes and experiences that shape us.

 

After seasons spent exploring Montana, Canada, and Italy, they returned to Utah with a deeper perspective on movement, resilience, and craftsmanship. From that vision came topography. A way to express elevation, depth, and flow through every rod they build.

 

The name Scooter honors a beloved family bird dog, symbolizing loyalty, versitlity, and the instinct to keep moving forward. Each rod is built with that same spirit and ready for wherever the water leads.
